Arizona National Guard
In May of 2012, K2 Adventures Foundation donated 30+ computers to disabled Arizona service men, women and families from the Arizona National Guard returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
May 19, 2012: An application was from the Arizona National Guard located in Arizona. The Arizona National Guard has a program that helps soldiers and their families that are coming back from the war that have suffered from different disabilities. Computers would help these families get back on their feet and provide opportunities for them to look for different jobs and activities in the community. They currently have 60 men and woman in their program. Thirty individuals and families have received either laptops or desktop computers from K2 Adventures Foundation. We have also arranged for any individual or family member in the program the opportunity to join Spo Fit by Virginia G. Piper Foundation at no cost to them so they can work out on adaptive equipment that is suitable for their needs.
