Join us to give the gift of a greenhouse to grow nutritious food at a new orphanage in Tanzania, Summit Happy Home run by the K2 Adventures Foundation. This project will help the orphanage educate children about their food source, be self-sufficient, and serve the surrounding community. We’ve pledged $10,000 and are raising $5,000 more to support the construction of the greenhouse, development of an irrigation system, annual salary for a farmer, and more.

K2 Adventures Foundation works in the United States and abroad to provide equipment, supplies, basic necessities and care to children and adults living with disabilities. Globally, they work with three different school networks and orphanages serving children with disabilities.

“Working with K2 Adventures Foundation has fulfilled a passion I have had for giving back to Orphanages, and providing a better quality of life for children with disabilities. This experience has truly defined who I am as a person and has allowed me grow in ways I didn’t think were possible. I am truly blessed to be a part of K2 Adventures Foundation.”

– Jodi Kinney, Davines Regional Territory Manager

The foundation is planning to open a new orphanage in January 2019, and provide food, shelter, medical care, and safety to 35 children living with disabilities in Arusha, Tanzania. They believe strongly in the importance of healthy, nutritious food and have integrated agricultural projects into their progressive model. Growing food allows their existing orphanage in Moshi, Tanzania, to be self-sufficient and provide for the surrounding community. They want to replicate this success at Summit Happy Home and a greenhouse would provide them with added stability and educational opportunities for the children who live there.

Each donation will go directly to the construction and maintenance of Summit Happy Home’s greenhouse, to be unveiled in March 2019.
